Puddin''s Story

Let us introduce you to Puddin, a girl who is never going to shine in a kennel. This gorgeous 2 year old can't wait for a family to love her.

Some dogs can shrug it off… Puddin is not one of them. She simply can’t heal, grow, or gain confidence in our kind of environment. She needs her person.

Puddin is an underconfident sweetheart who wants someone to take her under their wing and show her the world isn’t out to get her. Once she trusts you, she is incredibly loving and affectionate — the kind of dog who melts into her person.

But with strangers or unfamiliar dogs?

Her fear kicks in, and it can come across as unfriendly. She’s not being “difficult.” She’s scared, and the kennel life isn’t helping.

The good news is she has solid basic obedience and genuinely wants to look to someone for guidance. She just needs a calm, confident leader to help her feel safe.

Because she spooks easily, a fenced yard is preferred so she can relax and explore without fear.

If you’re the kind of person who can see past nerves and into the heart of a good dog… Puddin is waiting for you. She just needs a home where she can finally exhale and start becoming the dog she’s meant to be. Puddin' would fit best in a home with more calm, respectful children who are at least 13 years old.

If you are interested in Puddin’ and are at least 21 years old, please come to our kennel during business hours, make an appointment, or fill out an application at k9stray.com and an adoption counselor will be in touch. We look forward to helping you find your new best friend!

*Please check your lease agreements for breed/weight restrictions prior to applying. We also do not do cat testing, so we do not know how a dog will do with cats. Not all dogs are available to go home on the same day you first meet.*
