Princess Coco Bean's Story
Hi, I'm Princess Cocoa Bean — my friends here at the shelter call me by my full name, or call me beans, beanie, or Princess Bean. It doesn’t matter what you call me really, just don’t call me late for treats, snuggles, or dinner.

A little about me, I’m around 5-year-olds, I’m a large mixed-breed lady weighing in at about 60lbs. I have been spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and I’m up to date on my heartworm testing.

I came to AVAS after my dad tragically passed away. It was a big, scary change for me, and I was very shy at first. But once I realized I was safe, my confidence has been getting better every day! I am still a little shy making new friends, but if you’re patient with me, I’ll show you just how sweet I am.

My perfect kingdom, oops, I mean home, would be one where I’m the only furry friend. I would do best in an adult-only home, or one with older children who can handle my wiggly butt that is always going once I’m comfortable and happy around my people. I’m not a fan of cats - because I’ve been told they don’t like to be chased.

My manners could use a bit of fine-tuning, but good news - I'm highly food-motivated, which makes training much easier and honestly pretty fun. I’ve been working on all the things at the shelter, leash walking, meeting new people, and basic commands.

I would love to meet you, if you want to meet me, stop by the shelter Tuesday-Saturday 10am-6pm and we can have some snacks at my temporary castle. If you have questions reach out to my friends at AVASCares2@gmail.com or by phone at 989-348-4117. See you soon!
