Princess's Story
Princess has spent her entire life preparing for a career she invented herself: Director of Recreational Activities.
Need someone to inspect the kayak before launch? Princess is available.
Need a quality-control supervisor for every puddle, pond, or splashable body of water? Princess has cleared her schedule.
Need someone to test whether a new toy is worthy of your investment? She takes this responsibility very seriously.
At five-and-a-half months old and 35 pounds, Princess has already figured out that life is more fun when you participate in it. She doesn't stand on the sidelines wondering if something might be enjoyable. She sticks her nose in and finds out.
Training has been one of her favorite games because she recently discovered that food makes excellent currency. Ask for a behavior, pay in snacks, everyone wins.
Princess is house-trained, crate trained, and walks well on leash. She has a comfortable medium energy level, enjoys other dogs, does well with cats and kids, and is just as happy collecting belly rubs after an adventure as she is heading out to the next one.
There's one thing about Princess that makes everyone here pause.
She has been in rescue since she was just a few days old.
She's learned about kayaks, flower leis, toys, training, and backyard adventures while growing up in foster care—but she's still waiting for the one experience she hasn't had yet: waking up in the same home every morning because it's hers.
A securely fenced yard and an excellent veterinary reference are required.
If your life has room for a dog who thinks every outing is worth attending—and who can wear ridiculous sunglasses with complete sincerity—Princess is ready to report for duty.
Apply at https://arlorescue.com/adoption-form.html
Princess's adoption includes spay/neuter, vaccinations, microchip, heartworm testing, and preventatives.
