Princess's Story

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Princess is a 2 year old, tri color, female basset who weighs 41 lbs. Princess absolutely adores all humans and wants nothing more than to curl up and cuddle with her people. She is a sensitive soul who can be fearful in new situations and when meeting new people but she usually adapts well. She does have some separation anxiety and can bark a lot when left home alone so her ideal adopter would be someone who is home a lot. She is incredibly sweet and usually calm and mellow. She loves to sleep next to you in bed and on the couch. She does well on a leash and in the car, both in a crate and out. She has also done well in a large pen in her foster home. She is usually very agreeable and listens well. She has no health issues, is housetrained and easily uses the dog door. .Princess can have a little trouble when first meeting new dogs. It's mostly just the fear of new things, especially in a new environment. She may growl a little, especially around human attention or comfy sleeping space. But she has proven adaptable and that she gets used to other dogs given a little time. She has been fostered in a dogsitting home with dogs that come and go often. As long as you go slow with introductions she has proven to do fine. She is not good with cats.Luna and her daughter, Princess, came in to GGBR together and it may be in their best interest to be adopted together.
