He's a sweet, affectionate boy who is looking for a patient family to help him continue building his confidence. While he may need a little time to settle into a new environment, the reward is a loyal, loving companion who enjoys being close to his people. <br/><br/>Prince thrives on attention and loves being part of the family. One of his favourite pastimes is pulling every toy out of the toy basket and scattering them around the house. He also enjoys being brushed, chasing squirrels in the backyard, and exploring the world on walks where he can stop and sniff along the way. <br/><br/>It's been wonderful watching Prince grow more comfortable in foster care. Early on, he spent much of his time standing rather than relaxing, but as he settled in, he began lying down on the deck with his foster family. He is finally starting to ease into his new life and his confidence is growing every day.<br/><br/>Prince gets along with other dogs, although he can initially display some dominant behaviour while figuring out his place. However with patient introductions and guidance, he settles in well with other dogs. Prince would prefer to be the only dog in his furever home, soaking up all the attention he didn't have in his earlier years. <br/><br/>Prince is still working on his housetraining and may need pee pads while adjusting to a new home. His new family should be prepared to continue this training with patience and consistency as he learns his new routine.<br/><br/>He walks fairly well on leash and continues to improve with guidance. He enjoys stopping to sniff and explore. He also rides calmly in the car and prefers to sleep on the living room sofa. Every morning, he happily greets his foster in the bedroom, ready for some affection to start the day.<br/><br/>Prince takes a small medication twice daily for a cough, which he was prescribed by the vet. He takes it easily with his food.<br/><br/>Prince has not yet been exposed to cats or young children.<br/><br/>Prince would do best with a mature, patient adopter who is ready to give Prince the love and attention he didn't experience in his earlier years.
