Prince's Story

Hey there, it's me, Prince! I'm an adult male dog who's ready to find my kingdom, aka my forever home. And let me tell you, I'm quite the catch. I'm an athletic and playful pup, always up for a game of fetch or a good run. I'm also super smart and eager to learn, but let's be real, I need some training. I respond well to firm commands, so if you're a confident and consistent leader, we'll be the perfect match. In my ideal world, it would just be you, me, and maybe some fun-loving adults — no kids or cats, please! I like to be the center of attention and keep things peaceful. So, if you're looking for a playful yet obedient companion, I'm your guy. Come, let's be best friends, and we can rule this world together!

Rock Island County Animal Care and Control's Adoption Policy
We recommend that you research breed characteristics, visit our shelter, then select and spend time with the animals. Once you have determined that a pet is a good match for your family, you will need to complete the adoption application and pay the adoption fee. Once this done, you and your new family member can head home! Be willing to spend at least an hour and perhaps two from the time you arrive until you leave. After looking through our adoption wards, notify the front desk if there is a specific animal you are interested in. If you are interested in one of the adoptable dogs or puppies, a kennel attendant will get the dog out for you to meet. We encourage you to spend some time getting acquainted with the animal you are interested in so that you can get to know it before making your decision. After completing the adoption and registration information, you and your new best friend are on your way!
