Pretzel's Story

Meet Pretzel!! He is in a foster home in San Antonio and can travel to a foster to adopt home in the PNW.

This gentleman was one of many dogs who found themselves homeless after their elderly owner died. Although Pretzel had a roof over his head, he didn’t get the simple one on one attention and socializing that a dog would normally get in a normal home.
Pretzel is shy, he doesn’t have a mean bone, but he shy, independent and a bit aloof. He doesn’t like to cuddle nor can he walk on leash yet. However, he is very happy to see his foster family when they arrive home, he’s the first one to greet them! He’s coming up for more pets and loves to run around with his little foster brother. He does like to be included in what’s going on in the home.
He likes to lay at your feet when your watching tv or working in the kitchen. He will follow you and keep track of what you are doing, he just may not want extensive petting or attention. But he wants to feel included.
He’s pretty quiet unless it’s morning and he’s first out of the crate to do his zoomies and check out the yard for critters. Pretzel is crate trained and house trained. He is fine being handled.
He does well with dogs, cats, polite children, men and women. Any dog or cat in his life would need to be soft… Pretzel is soft, submissive and can be easily bullied and intimidated. He doesn’t rough house or play much, but he very much enjoys the company of a nice dog.
Requirements for Pretzel:
-Pretzel will require a securely fenced yard. He spends lots of time in it and enjoys his zoomies and exercise there. He has not been able to leash walk yet.
-Gentle, kind, calm, non dominant dog.
-Someone willing to allow him to be him. Patience to let him come around at his own pace. He will need ample time to adjust to new surroundings .
-Someone who is home the majority of the time.
-Someone who doesn’t mind an independent dog.
-A person who takes him as he is and can go slow.
Pretzel is estimated at 6 years old. He is healthy, 10 lbs, fully vetted, neutered and HW negative .

His adoption fee is $550 and includes his transport, vaccinations. neuter and microchip. 100% of the fee goes to his vetting and care.

Please contact Carla at carlarelf@me.com for more information.

He’s seriously as cute as can be??
