Senior Hearts Rescue and Renewal is the only licensed senior dog rescue organization in Western Pennsylvania. We do not have a shelter or a public facility. ALL of our dogs reside in foster homes in the greater Pittsburgh, PA area.

We are a 100% volunteer organization. Please respect our volunteers' time. If a dog is listed on PetFinder, he/she IS available for adoption. We cannot reply to messages, phone calls, and emails about a dog until we have received, reviewed, and approved an adoption application.

Completing this application is the first step in our adoption screening process. You MUST complete the application in its entirety in order to be considered as a potential adopter. And now a few words about our Precious Pea …

Precious Pea is a sweet, laidback 11-year-young, 22 lb. girl who gets along with cats and dogs. She absolutely loves belly rubs and will thank you with kisses. She is her happiest being next to her human on the sofa watching your favorite shows.

Precious Pea needs her daily walk to keep her cute figure and happy disposition. She would love a fur sibling but would do fine as an only fur child. This sweet girl is looking for a calm and peaceful furever home so she can feel safe and secure and become the best version of herself.

She can be adopted within a two-hour driving radius of Pittsburgh, PA. If you want to make Precious Pea a part of your family, you must first complete the adoption application at
