Poutine's Story

Meet Poutine! Poutine is a husky mix that we estimate to be around 1 year old. She is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations.

Poutine is a goofy, silly puppy. She still has lots of energy and would do best in an active household. She loves going on walks with our volunteers, and really is a social butterfly. Poutine does have a tendency to jump and could use some help when it comes to her manners. She gets very excited to meet visitors and make new friends! She settles down well once her exercise needs have been met. She would make an excellent hiking buddy!

Poutine came to HSoP as a stray, so we do not know much of what her life was like outside of the shelter. We do not know how she does with dogs or cats. If you have a dog in the home already, we require a dog introduction prior to adoption. She has met children and done well, but might be too much for very small kids.

Poutine is very sweet and silly. We think that, with some patience, she would be a great family dog. She is food motivated, which is helpful when it comes to training. It is difficult to determine whether or not a dog is potty trained in a shelter environment, and it is likely she will need some help with this in her new home.

If you would like to meet Poutine, feel free to stop by any time we're open! Our open hours are 2pm-6pm Monday-Saturday. Dog kennels close at 5pm and adoptions end at 5:30pm.
