POSEY

Posey is one of those dogs who clearly wants very badly to connect with people, even when he is feeling unsure of the world around him. The person who cared for him before he arrived at the shelter described him as easy to handle and affectionate, and staff here have seen that same sweet personality emerge more and more over time. While he can be a little nervous at first, Posey warms up quickly with kindness and patience, offering soft tail wags, leaning in for pets, and happily asking for “lovins” from the people around him. He enjoys car rides, likes meeting new people, and has shown that he can listen well to other dogs’ social cues during interactions. <br/><br/> Posey also has a playful, goofy side that shines through once he settles in. He is curious, social, and seems happiest when he is out of the kennel environment and able to relax around people. Shelter life has been stressful for him at times, but outside of the kennel he consistently shows just how friendly and loving he really is.
