Portia's Story

I’m Portia!

My foster family describes me as a super sweet, gentle, well-behaved girl who loves her people and is super eager to please. They say that for being so young (I’m still a puppy after all!), I’m amazingly easy. I am still a little bit unsure about this whole ‘city living’ thing, and I’ll need a family who can help me build confidence, but trust that once I settle in, I’m going to be somebody’s best dog ever!

I like to spend my days cuddling with my people, enjoying my toys, and playing with other dogs. My foster family thinks that I’d do great in a home with a canine sibling or maybe even a cat. I haven’t lived with a cat before, but I couldn’t care less about birds or squirrels when they walk in front of me during walks, so thats a good sign that I’d be a cat friendly pup.

One of my favorite places to be is in my crate. Its definitely my safe space, where I can be cozy, and relax and recharge. Now that I’m settling in with my foster family, I also like to snooze on the couch and cuddle with them in their bed. I’m a champion snuggler, and know exactly how to curl up next to my people to snooze the night away!

I’ve had a lot of change in my young life, and I’m still processing it all. But as I start to feel safe with my foster family, and come out of my shell, they are seeing more and more of my fun personality every day! I can’t wait to share that with my forever family too!

If you’re looking for a loyal, loving pup who is a great listener, and an even more amazing cuddler, I’m your girl! Apply to adopt me today!
