Meet Porter! This sweet senior gentleman was found wandering the streets of Tulare, California in November of 2025, and he’s been charming everyone he meets ever since. At about 11 years old and weighing around 25 lbs, Porter is a friendly, easygoing pup with a heart full of love. Porter truly enjoys the company of others—both human and furry. He loves meeting new dog friends and has yet to meet a pup he doesn’t get along with, whether big or small. He also does wonderfully with cats and enjoys spending time with kids. This affectionate boy adores cuddling with his humans and canine companions alike, and he’s always happy to join you for leisurely walks or relaxing car rides. Porter is non-destructive and can be trusted to roam freely in the home while you’re away, making him a wonderful companion for a calm, loving household. Because he gains confidence from the presence of other dogs, we believe he would thrive best in a home with a friendly dog companion to help him feel secure as he transitions to his forever home.
