Poppy's Story

Poppy was found as a stray in Phoenix. She was brought into the county shelter where she was promptly placed on the "at risk" list because of her temperament. Poppy is a complicated lady in that she has super sweet moments where she wants to kiss you, play and act like a puppy. Then, she will experience a trigger and she will try to bite. While in foster care, she has shown great improvement, but we feel she will always have these issues. Poppy needs a dog savvy owner who understands and loves the "Chihuahua" personality. Currently, Poppy is at a Utah rescue in a foster home where she is up for adoption.

Our Mission

Annie's Rescue Ride is a hybrid rescue in that we primarily transport hard to place dogs to our rescue partners in Idaho and Utah were adopters are more abundant than in AZ.
