Poppy's Story
Meet Poppy!

From their foster mom:

Meet Rosie and Poppy! These two are the definition of social, they've never met a human or another dog they didn't immediately love. In fact, they would both absolutely thrive in a home with a dog sibling to show them the ropes! Poppy may be the smaller of the two, but she is totally fearless! She's the first to investigate a new toy and loves to lead the way on adventures. Rosie is a bit more soulful and shy at first, but once she wiggles her way into your heart, she is the sweetest companion you could ask for. Having a dog brother or sister to look up to would really help her brave side shine! Both girls have high energy for zoomies, but they are experts at settling in their crate when it's time to nap and typically sleep right through the night! Potty training is still a work in progress, but they are doing great!

UPDATE 2/4/26!

Great news for Poppy and her siblings! Poppy and her littermates are officially medically cleared and ready to head home with their forever families! Each puppy has been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, and given a clean bill of health by our veterinary team. They're happy, healthy, and more than ready to start their next chapter! Now all they're missing is a family to call their own. If you've been thinking about adding a pup to your life, this is your sign! Submit your adoption application today to schedule a meet-and-greet and you could bring your new best friend home right away. Homes will be matched on a first-come, first-serve basis - so don't wait!

Poppy is an adorable young mixed breed girl who just arrived in our rescue program along with her three sisters. This all-female litter came to us from California's Central Valley, where they were at risk of euthanasia. We're so grateful we were able to step in and give these girls the chance they deserve. These special girls have already come so far-and we can't wait to see them find the loving homes they deserve.

Could you be this pup's lucky new hero?

PupFax: Poppy
Adoption Status: Cleared and Ready!
Medical Status: Cleared
Location: Bend/Central Oregon
Rescue Intake Type: Rescue partner/California

At-a-Glance Stats -

Age: 3.5 months (approximate)

Breed: Mixed breed

Size: Medium (estimated mature weight)

Weight: 20 pounds (Approx. last weigh-in)

Sex: Female

Spayed/Neutered: Yes (1/21/26)

Vaccinations: Up to date (age appropriate core vaccinations)

Microchipped: Yes

Personality & Temperament:

Energy level:

Home & Lifestyle Fit -

People: Good

Dogs: Good

Cats: Unknown at this time

Activity Level:

Ideal Home:

Training & Manners -

House/Potty Trained:

Crate Trained:

Leash Skills:

Commands Known:

Food/Treat Motivation:

Health Notes -

Overall Health:

Known Medical Needs:

(All known medical and behavioral information is disclosed prior to adoption.)

What this pup Is looking For:

What We Know & Why We Love Them (foster/volunteer/staff feedback):

Very sweet!
