Sometimes life changes, and Poppy found herself needing a safe place to land.<br/><br/>Poppy can be very timid and shy when first meeting new people, and we want to be upfront that her initial nervousness may make some adopters hesitate. However, once she is given time to settle in and build trust, she truly shines. She is affectionate, sweet, and very devoted to her people once she feels safe.<br/><br/>She absolutely loves other dogs and gains confidence from having canine companions around her. A home with another friendly dog would be a great fit for Poppy, though it is not required for the right family willing to go slow and patient with her.<br/><br/><br/><br/>***If you choose to adopt (before all vetting is complete) and use your own vet rather than our local Snip Clinic for these services, you do so at your own expense and it will not reduce the adoption fee. Adoption fees are NON NEGOTIABLE.<br/><br/>1.) All dogs are adopted to the best possible match and calling or emailing the rescue will not speed up the process or liken your chances of being chosen.<br/><br/>2.) You will be notified by adoption coordinator if your application is approved. Adoptions are set up by appointment only. We do not have “hours” of operation.<br/><br/>3.) If the dog is posted as Available on Petfinder, it is available but may have pending applications and meet and greets set up.<br/><br/>4.) If you are not ready to immediately meet the dog you are applying for, please do not apply- we are too busy for window shoppers! Every dog is available to be taken home with you at the time of the meet and greet.<br/><br/>5.) We recommend you bring a carrier with you to transport the dog home as some can get carsick. Adult dogs and most puppies over 6 months of age will require a slip lead.<br/><br/>6.)
