Meet Pooja, a beautiful little  13-month-old female longhair piebald dachshund, sweet as can be, came into rescue a week ago, her mom became ill and could no longer care for her. This playful little spirit is full of mischief and has a special love for her stuffed animals and squeaky toys! Thanks to her amazing foster mom & sister Rylie, Pooja has successfully learned to potty outside and enjoys cozying up in the big bed all night. Though she might be a little shy initially when meeting her, with some patience, she’ll warm right up! Pooja is working on her leash walking and is always ready for a fun game of fetch. She thrives in a fenced yard where she can explore and sniff everything around her, fenced in is a must, no exceptions.  She would be thrilled to have only one cuddly playmate her size for tag and chasing! We are looking for someone who is home most of the time.  Just a heads up – no small children or apartments, as dachshunds like to express themselves. We are taking phone interviews.
