Pongo, Male, 5 years old<br/><br/>Pongo is a stunning 5 year old Dalmatian that is dreaming of a quiet, loving home. He’s 51 pounds and a VERY sweet, just a little timid (at times) dog. A patient human and breed experience is preferred, but not required. Pongo just truly deserves to have a forever home. He arrived so shy, and has blossomed with care and socializing from staff and volunteers. Pongo is a favorite!! He seems to enjoy the company of most other dogs, but especially females. Pongo is really a nice dog, and just wants to be loved. Let’s help Pongo find that wonderful home!<br/><br/>Dalmatians need: a low purine, high protein diet, with ample water (often add to food). Owners need to be mindful of food sensitivities. They thrive on human interaction and need mental and physical daily interactions. <br/><br/>No appointment is necessary to adopt. Adoptions are on a first-come, first-served basis, by visiting the shelter. Applications are not accepted in advance, but will be filled out upon adoption. <br/><br/>If you have another dog and/or children in your family and are interested in adopting a FAPL dog, please bring them with you for a meet and greet. Please bring a copy of lease agreement if you rent home/apartment. <br/><br/>All dogs receive one or more vaccinations, a basic veterinary examination, are dewormed, microchipped, and spayed or neutered. Dogs 7 months and older are heartworm tested.<br/><br/>Upon visiting FAPL, if you don’t see a particular dog you are looking for that is on the website, please ask at the front desk.
