Poncho

Poncho is a character. He's a big boy with a big heart. He's been at the shelter more than half his life. He was a dumped dog that got caught chasing cattle. That's a dangerous activity in cattle country. He's a lucky boy. <br/><br/>Poncho can sit, stay, wait, drink water, wait to eat, hook up, and load up. He's recently learned how to use a dog treadmill. With a little patience he'll house train easily. Very food motivated and eager to please. He enjoys car rides and walks. He would probably do best as an only dog for a novice dog owner. He does get along with other dogs on walks. However, he will protect high value treats, toys, and people from other dogs. <br/><br/>We're not sure of his mix, but we think there might be some catahoula in him too. He's grown into a really great dog and deserves another chance at life on the outside. <br/><br/>Transportation available within 4hrs hours of the shelter located in Osceola, MO., (Iowa, or Florida because I have family there) You can visit him anytime during regular business hours at the shelter or you can schedule something with me (Danielle Polzin Volunteer Dog Handler) via email at ms.daniellemarie@yahoo.com
