Pomme's Story

Pomme is such an amazing and sweet girl with hear full of love and appreciation for being saved. She plays amazingly well with other dogs and doesn't mind being around the cats at all. She is crate trained and has very few accidents with house training anymore as long as she is let out right out of the crate in the morning or when someone gets home. We're working on leash training and seeing how she does with car rides, but she's a smart girl and a quick learner. She can be a tiny bit shy with new people, but gets over it fairly quickly. She is a well-rounded dog that would make a great cuddle buddy on the couch or going on adventures.
Both of her brother's have been adopted and she's just waiting for her own forever home now. Her brother's both looked like mini German Shepherds so they got adopted a lot faster.

Their Story:
On Monday/Tuesday 1/19/25, Ludowici PD was called to three skinny and young puppies in a local park. Once the officer arrived on scene, he saw the horrible condition they were in and watched them eating acorns and sticks to fill their empty bellies. He called to get the local animal control to come pick them up, but they refused so he loaded them in his truck, and contacted his boss for advice on what to do. Being a huge animal advocate the officer tried different rescues until he contacted us through his wife. He was given permission to bring them home. The puppies were not only starving and in horrible physical condition, they were covered and sticky with their own feces in urine to the point they needed baths asap at 2am. All three are thriving and even the littlest one Richas, that's super shy, is finally starting to get comfortable.
