Polly's Story

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. From Polly’s Foster -

Polly has settled in beautifully and has been an absolute sweetheart! She loves belly rubs and is happiest when she’s curled up or sitting right beside her person. She’s incredibly affectionate and never misses an opportunity to hand out plenty of kisses.

She’s fully crate trained and happily puts herself to bed in her crate each night. Polly has only barked a couple of times over the past week, and both were simply to let us know someone was at the door.

She walks nicely on a leash with very little pulling and is highly food and treat motivated, always taking treats gently. She loves her toys, especially a good game of fetch!

Polly already knows several commands, including sit, shake, come, down, kiss, walk, no, and crate.

She would thrive as the only pet in the home. While she is non-reactive to dogs and cats when on a leash, she is not a fan of living with cats. Polly also loves the water! She enjoys swimming and has even gone paddle boating with a previous foster.

Her ideal home would have older children or teenagers and a securely fenced yard where she can run, play, and enjoy life to the fullest.

if you are interested in Polly, please complete an adoption application at lastdaydogs.com

Tails of the Unwanted's Adoption Policy
Our main goal during the adoption process is to find the perfect match for you and your family. Our process includes: Adoption Application Phone Interview Vet Check Personal Reference Check Home Photos The most important part of our adoption process is the phone interview, this is where we get to know you and your family more and your needs and wants for a new family member. During the phone interview try to tell us as much as possible about your lifestyle and family so we can make sure you are getting the perfect match. At the end of the phone interview we may suggest a different dog due to the dog you put in an application for not fitting your lifestyle needs or vice versa, this is for everyones best interest so please do not get discouraged. We want you and the dog to be happy for the rest of their lives. The home photos are in lieu of a home visit. We do out of state adoptions so sometimes home visits are not feasible. For the home photos we are looking for where the dog will spend majority of their time (i.e. yard, living room, bedroom, kitchen). Our applications process is on a somewhat of a first come first serve basis, but in the end it is who is a better fit for the dog. This process can take anywhere from 3 days to 2 weeks depending on how many applications we are processing.
