Pointy's Story

Why choose me?
Foster update: Pointy is doing great in his foster home but he's ready for a more permanent gig! His foster reports:
"He is a very loving dog who loves to snuggle. He especially loves to be a lap dog even though he is a bit too big. Such an awkward silly dog that is not quite sure how to show love as he was recently found on the street. He has basically perfected potty time and knows to go outside. We haven't really worked on crate training as I am home most of the time and take him with me when I leave the house. He loves to jump and bounce around and can be a bundle of energy, so we're working on that. I love his energy and he makes me laugh. Would be great with young kids - he is such a sweetheart!"
Pointy has briefly met a cat and some other dogs and has done great with them so far. More on that to follow soon!

When I met Pointy, I understood his name. He has the cutest pointy ears! He's also very sweet and calm. He hopped on the picnic table to check out my toys, but what he really liked was just being petted and loved on. He'd sit for treats and then stayed close watching all that was going on and enjoying being with a friend. The person that found him said he was friendly with the other dogs he was running with. He's an adorable sweetheart.

You can read more about this dog and check out additional photos here: https://www.accgov.com/9482/Dogs

The adoption fees, shelter schedule, a description of the rescue and adoption process, and a list of included vetting can be found at https://athenspets.net/adoption-rescue-process.

This dog is available for adoption through Athens-Clarke County Animal Services, located at 125 Buddy Christian Way, Athens, GA.
