Their initial intention was to keep her, because she was so kind and friendly but they were in their 80's and Poe was just four months old and all puppy, so they decided she needed a home more appropriate for her energy, fun and adventure level.<br/><br/>Poe is a leggy lanky girl that is about five months old, super smart, super sweet and very affectionate. She is toy, treat and praise drivien and learns quickly. She loves to play and will eventually mature into a dog built for movement, so could be a great jogging companion or extreme hiking side kick. She follows her foster around, for farm chores, and when introduced to chickens, goats and ducks, was curious but showed no prey drive.l<br/><br/>Poe LOVES kids and would be right at home in a big active family. She has energy to burn but loves a good quiet snuggle too but watch out, she is still a puppy and those kiddy toys might end up with some teeth marks in them.<br/><br/>Since Poe joined us she is learning about house and crate training and doing well. She willingly bounds into her crate for a treat and has her potty accidents down to a bare minimum, if given plenty of outside opportunities to do her business where she should. She loves pigs ears and meal time playing with her foster buddies, is getting really good on a leash and travels fantastic but most of all, she loves people. People are her favorite and kids her favortie of all.
