Pocus's Story

This pretty pup is Pocus. She is 6-months-old and weighs 28 lb. We think she is a lab/beagle mix and expect she will weigh about 40 lb when full grown. Pocus is at a foster home, not at our shelter. Her foster says "Pocus is a truly precious, sweet and smart puppy. She was very scared in the shelter but is coming out of her shell in her foster home. She warms up quickly to new people at home and is a perfect snuggler. Pocus likes her crate, is happy to occupy herself with chew toys and loves playing with her beagle foster sister. After settling in, Pocus appears to be fully housetrained. She will follow her foster sister's lead on a leash walk but hasn't gotten the hang of it on her own yet. However, Pocus is treat -motivated and learns quickly. Pocus is still timid, but she will be an incredible companion for a family that can patiently introduce her to new things while she builds up confidence. Pocus would love having another dog at home to show her the ropes." Pocus is vaccinate and healthy. Her adoption fee is $400 (includes spay surgery). If you would like to meet/adopt Pocus, please complete our online application at https://daws.org/daws-forms. Email daws@daws.org with questions. Pocus can't wait to find her forever home!
