Pluto's Story
Meet Pluto

Those ears. That head tilt. That face. Pluto is the kind of girl who makes it very difficult not to smile.

Pluto is a happy, energetic dog who absolutely loves to play. Her foster describes her as very playful and active, with a particular love for running around outside. But when playtime is over, Pluto is ready to come back inside and be part of the family. Despite having lived outdoors previously, she has made it pretty clear that she likes the comforts of indoor life.

She can also settle down and sleep in a kennel, which gives her new family a great foundation to continue building on.

Pluto has been around children and is described as gentle with them, though her enthusiasm and playful energy mean supervision is always a good idea. She loves to jump around, run and interact with her people. When she gets excited during play, she can get a little mouthy and give playful nips, but her foster has not described this as aggressive behavior.

Like a lot of dogs who didn't get much early training, Pluto is still working on some of the basics. Leash walking and consistent house training are works in progress, so her perfect person will be someone willing to continue teaching her rather than expecting a finished product on day one.

What you get in return is a funny, affectionate, energetic little dog who already knows she would rather be inside with her people than outside by herself.

Pluto doesn't need someone looking for a perfect dog. She needs someone looking for their dog and willing to help her become the very best version of herself.

And with ears like those, you'll never have to wonder whether she's listening.
