He is friendly and affectionate, with a special dash of kindness that is impossible to resist. <br/><br/>Pluto is great with everyone (cats, kids and other dogs). He loves to cuddle, loves being close to you, and is very affectionate! He likes to follow you (he is velcro, without being clingy). He is interested in what's going on, and enjoys being with the family even if all you are doing is hanging out. Interestingly enough, and at the same time, he is just as happy being independent. He enjoys doing his own thing, playing on his own, and taking naps or chilling in his own space. His preference though is to be around others, and we imagine he is ok with alone time because in the background he knows he is loved & cherished.<br/><br/>On a scale of 1-10, we would rate his energy at about a 4. He is playful, but it is a calm energy. He is not typically noisy or barky, however, he does bark to let you know he needs to do his business or to remind you it's time to let him out of the crate!<br/><br/>This playful boy loves chasing his friends and invites them to also chase him. He is a fan of tug of war, and loves his squeaky worm! He is gentle with his play, and not really a rough player. Pluto loves adventures and car rides. He is great with car rides and stays in his spot like a good boy. He also loves walks, and could improve a bit on his leash walking. He just gets so excited about the opportunity to go out that he can be a bit of a puller. Overall though, Pluto is a pleasure and easy company to enjoy.<br/><br/>Mr Pluto is smart and a very good communicator. He is very good at letting you know when he needs to potty. And when it's time for dinner, he leads you to his feeding spot, and sits patiently until served. Then when there is a knock at the door, or loud/unusual noises, he makes it a point to alert you.<br/><br/>Pluto would thrive in a home where he gets lots of attention and toys to play with. He seeks out companionship and attention, so it is important that he be well-integrated with the family.<br/><br/>A FEW OTHER DETAILS...<br/>1- Pluto is trusted free-range in the gated living room when left home alone.<br/>2- He sleeps in the crate at bedtime.<br/>3- No separation or storm anxiety.<br/>4- Prey drive appears to be low.<br/>5- He has experience living with young and older kids, other dogs, and kitties.<br/>6- He loves treats, and also appreciates good real food added to his kibble.<br/>7- "He's just now learning to give kisses. He'll lean into me, as to ask (he's so polite).
