Plum's Story
Meet Plum!

Plum is a beautiful tan-and-white pittie mix (emphasis on mix) with the most striking blue eyes and the cutest, expressive ears. She’s a guessed 3-year-old, medium-sized girl weighing about 40lbs and will benefit from putting on a few pounds after lovingly nursing her babies.

Plum is a lover at heart and lights up when she sees her favorite people. She’s currently in a foster home with kids and other dogs and does well, though she may need a little time to warm up to new dogs. With proper introductions and patience, she settles in nicely.

She’s a brave girl who’s eager to learn new things and continues to gain confidence every day. Plum does excellent in a crate and finds comfort there — especially if she has a good yak chew to enjoy. She’s currently working on potty training and is making progress with consistency and routine.

Plum’s journey hasn’t been easy. She came to us from living in a camper with around 40 dogs, alongside her sister Sugar (sisters by circumstance, not confirmed biologically). Both girls were heavily pregnant, delivered their litters just a week apart, and raised their puppies together in the same foster home. Plum was a devoted mama and is now ready for a life focused on her.

A few important notes:
• Plum has not been tested with cats
• She does not pass the chicken test 🫣 (secure fencing and supervision around small animals is needed)
•Naturally Plum doesn't like to share her food or her human's food
•Plum is an A+ car rider!
•We are working on Plum's nutrition and adding some weight. She was very thin post weaning pups

Plum is a young adult with a gentle soul, a resilient spirit, and so much love to give.

Apply to adopt:
https://rubiesandrogues.com/pages/placement-application

Adoption fee $300 (includes vetting) see here for specifics: https://www.facebook.com/share/p/
