Platypus "Pladdy"'s Story
Meet Platypus!

Platypus is a 1 year old 30 pound pittie who is fully vetted, crate & potty-trained.

A platypus is a unique egg-laying mammal that does not have a true stomach. This Platypus, however, definitely has a stomach but is just as unique as his namesake!

Platypus came to us afraid of literally everything, including his own shadow. He's truly flourishing and blossoming in his foster home, though, and becoming the playful pup he is meant to be!

Platypus, or Pladdy, is incredibly sweet and affectionate to all humans, regardless of age and gender. He seems to especially adore kids! While he may initially be a little shy and unsure of new people, he quickly warms up to everyone he meets. He currently resides with two smaller dogs and has been very respectful and responsive to their cues. He also resides with cats and has not shown any interest in them beyond the occasional sniff as he passes by.

Pladdy is a little underweight and malnourished, so his love for food may come on a little strong at first. He is happy to clean the bowls after his foster siblings, and he is learning to accept treats with a little less vigor. He has picked up on "sit" before accepting the treat, so he seems like he will be easy to train with that love for food as a motivation!

Pladdy's shyness and uncertainty about the world sometimes manifests when trying to get him outside, but once outside and on the ground, he happily does his business and is gentle on the leash.

With time and love, Platypus will be an amazing and loyal companion for anyone! His young age and overall sweet nature shines through to all he meets!

Apply Here: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FCOH/Dog

*If you are viewing this profile on Petfinder, please note integration issues between our shelter program and Petfinder often occur and limit what you can see.
