Pixie 3's Story
Meet Pixie 11/9/24

Pixie is a sweet 2-year-old female Chihuahua looking for her forever home. She is an 8.5 lb bundle of joy who loves to snuggle on the couch and go for walks. She's a very happy pup and just wants to please you! Pixie came into Yankee Chihuahua Rescue as a stray, and we can't believe that no one claimed her.

Pixie is full of love and has a big personality that will need a Chihuahua-savvy home. We feel that she would do great in an active home with another dog, possibly with someone who enjoys agility training or hiking. She tends to take a bit longer to warm up to some men, but with patience and treats, she'll be your best friend and shower you with kisses. She sleeps quietly in the kitchen area or in her bed at night but would prefer a human bed—who wouldn't? Pixie is completely house-trained, both outdoors and on pee pads, but may need some time to adjust to her new schedule in her new home. She will need someone to continue with potty pads or crate training. She gets along with other dogs but will need to be separated at feeding time to prevent her from stealing all the food. No apartment living due to her barking, and no children under 10 who don't know how to respect animals. A home with a fence is required.

Pixie is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, heartworm negative, and ready to join her new family.

Please note we are NOT A SHELTER. YCRAA aims to make long-term fit matches with our adoptions, and we have a lifetime take-back guarantee! Prior to meeting one of our dogs, you must submit an application and have your vet reference, landlord check, personal reference, and home visit done prior to meeting/adopting one of our dogs.

If you are interested in adopting Pixie, please click on the following link: Serving the Six New England States.
