Pita's Story
Meet Pita!

Pita is a 1-year-old, 60-pound cattle dog mix who’s as smart as he is playful. His favorite game is tug, and he’s already mastered sit, lay down, wait, stay, leave it, and don’t beg. He’s great on leash, too—he’ll even sit with a gentle pull upward.

Food is the way to his heart, which makes him highly trainable. Because he can be protective of his meals, his foster has been teaching him to sit before eating and practice calmly giving up his bowl mid-meal for a tasty reward. With consistency, he’ll keep improving.

Pita is house-trained and lets you know when he needs to go out by politely whining at the door. He’s never had an accident, loves chewing sticks, and is eager to learn more every day.

After 10 months in foster care, Pita has shown himself to be a loyal, affectionate pup who thrives with structure and activity. He’s looking for an active home that will continue his training and give him the love he deserves. Because he isn’t good with cats, we are looking for a cat-free household.

If you’re ready for a playful companion with brains and heart, Pita could be your perfect match!

Pita is neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, microchipped, and ready to find his forever home.

Interested in adopting Pita?
