Pippi's Story
Meet Pippi. A good Samaritan found her in the road as a stray with a stunning injury to her back leg that left muscle, tendons, and bones exposed. (Hence the stocking over her bandages and the name.) The good Samaritan did everything she could to find the owner while she sought out medical care, but no one came forward. With her landlords patience running thin and the medical bills for a dog she couldnt keep starting to stack up, she turned to us for help. Thanks to a foster coming forward, we were able to take over Pippis care. Were thrilled to announce that, at approximately six months of age, her injury has finally healed and she is fully vaccinated. Once again, she can be her bouncy, playful self.

Thanks to our friends at Zoom Room in Long Beach donating their facilities and time, Pippi has been able to prove just how attentive and incredibly smart she is. Shes a sponge whos eager to learn. Her stay is so impressively long that itll make you wonder if you should be charged for unpaid overtime. The answer is yes. Pay the working woman her time-and-a-half. This praise and treat-motivated puppy already knows her basic obedience skills, is crate-trained, and potty trained. If youre the type that likes long car rides, Pippi will settle in for the journey, just as long as you promise there will be a chance to stretch her legs when you get there.

Her exact breed is unknown, however, being that shes 30 lbs at approximately six months old, were guessing shell be anywhere between 50 and 65 pounds once shes fully grown. If youre looking for an active, large-breed dog who is full of personality (especially if you break out the hose), will flop her head onto your lap when its time to cuddle, and has proven to live harmoniously with cats, dogs, and children, submit an application today!

https://k9kismet.org/adoption-application

All of the dogs in our care receive regular wellness exams, preventative treatment, and specialty care as needed. All are fully vaccinated, spayed/neutered (unless medically waived), and microchipped.

Complete a puppy training course of your choosing and provide proof of completion to us within six months of adoption and well refund $100 of the adoption fee!

Follow us on Instagram @k9kismet and #k9kismetpippi to see more.
