Piper's Story

Meet Piper aka Bikini. This sweet little girl was pulled from a shelter in Phoenix on the euthanasia list. No one could believe she wasn’t reclaimed. She’s adorable and has a great smile as you can see!

We believe she is a poodle/maltese maybe some
dachshund mix. She would need regular grooming appointments to keep her looking beautiful and healthy. She’s got a long body, shorter legs, and just as sweet as she can be! The vet has aged her around 10. When X-rays were done under anesthesia (for her spay) they discovered old injuries that were not treated. She may have been hit by a car when she was younger. When she sits she extends one hind leg out because it doesn’t bend. They also noticed an old neck injury. Neither one of these old injuries cause her any pain, problems or keep her from doing all the things dogs do. She runs, dances, and plays with the other dogs in her foster home. Our vet recommended she take a joint supplement (mini dog cosquin) once a day. She walks very nice on a leash. On most cool mornings she can be found with her dog friends out for a 2 mile walk with her foster Mom. This little pup has been spayed, UTD on shots, microchipped and had her dental. Currently she lives with big dogs, little dogs and cats. Piper loves having a yard to play and explore with her friends. She would love to have another friend to play in her new home. This little one (13 lbs) is housebroken and has very nice house manners. She would do best with another dog friend and someone who is home most of the time. She’s all set to start her next adventure!

Piper is adoptable to homes in Tucson, Marana, Catalina, Sahuarita and Oro Valley only. Her adoption fee is $275, with an additional $21 for licensing.

To meet Piper, fill out an adoption application today at www.tucsoncoldwetnoses.com

*Applications to adopt: wwwTucsonColdWetNoses.com Home Visit / ID and Residence Verification is required. Compliance does not imply or guarantee adoption. Approval is the sole discretion of CWN representative(s).
