Piper's Story
This sweet 8-year-old chocolate Lab came to us after her owner could no longer care for her. She arrived a bit overweight and in need of some TLC, but she’s now on a healthier diet, enjoying gentle outdoor activities, and soaking up plenty of love from her shelter friends.

Piper is an absolute goofball lovebug. Her big, soulful brown eyes and constantly wagging tail make her impossible to resist, and her floppy ears seem to have their own silly personality. She loves sniffing her way through the yard like a little truffle-hunting piglet, and nothing makes her happier than people, cuddles, and smooches.

Piper is considered a special needs girl. She has been diagnosed with stage one renal disease, which is easily managed with a prescription veterinary kibble. An ultrasound also revealed some masses on her spleen. While they are still something to monitor, her vet is pleased to report that they have shown no signs of growth.

What Piper wants most is a comfy spot to relax, a family to adore, and the occasional game of fetch when she feels up for it. If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate companion to share your days with, Piper is ready to meet you.
If you'd like to be Piper's forever home you can contact us via email or call at (540) 778-2101.
