This is a courtesy post for a private owner who has had a local Rescue and Transport company walk away from the dogs that were originally in her rescue. <br/><br/>SHARPOFNY has agreed to assist by posting the dogs on Petfinder to help her get these wonderful dogs adopted. <br/><br/>Pinto is located in the Dallas TX area<br/>Transport can be arranged once the adoption is finalized, with a transport fee of $200. Alternatively, you are welcome to organize your own transport.<br/><br/>Pinto is a 2-3 year old neutered male border collie Australian shepherd mix weighing 40-45lbs. He and his brother Fluffy were dumped in a rural high kill shelter due to no fault of their own. Pinto is hw negative, crate trained, potty trained, and up to date on all his shots.<br/><br/>Pinto can be shy at first but warms up quickly with a little time and patience. He gets along with medium and large breed dogs both male and female. Sometimes he is unsure of himself so he just needs some guidance for confidence on introductions. <br/>He is very sweet and is goodie motivated. He will bark at strangers that come to the door. He is not anxious in the car or when left at home alone. He is medium energy level and could be an only dog or have a buddy. He would do well with a couple or single person or family with older children that will not climb on him or grab him inappropriately and would want to be included in family activities. He is not off leash trained so he would need a fenced back yard. Sweet boy needs his forever home.<br/><br/>Please note that these dogs are not part of SHARPOFNY's rescue program and are not being backed or fostered by the rescue. We are simply helping to connect them with loving homes. All inquiries and adoptions will be handled directly with the current owner.
