Pinto's Story

Pinto is a 3-year-old energetic, people-loving guy who absolutely lives for human connection! He spent most of his life as an outside dog, but his former family recently helped him make the transition to indoor life and got him house trained. Pinto was surrendered because he simply wasn't getting the attention he craves-and this boy definitely wants to be part of the family! He can be a little unsure of himself and easily startled by new things, so his perfect home will be structured, loving, and understanding while helping him build confidence.

Total people dog & certified attention hog
Very friendly with strangers
Good with other dogs
Good with cats
Hasn't lived with kids, but may do well with kids 5+
Energetic & would thrive in an active home
House trained
Crate trained & should be crated when left alone
Loves squeaky toys & chew toys

Pinto's former family believes he could do well with children 5 and older, although his enthusiasm may be a little much for very small kids-he can get excited and accidentally knock them over! Pinto is looking for someone who will give him the structure he needs, introduce him patiently to new experiences, and, most importantly, make him a real part of the family. Give this boy the attention and connection he's been missing, and we think you'll have one incredibly devoted best friend.
