Pinkie Pie's Story

This sweet brindle girl loves pets and sniffy walks! She tries her best to hold it in her kennel and would thrive as your one and only (no cats or dog siblings, please). Come meet Pinkie Pie — she’s ready to steal your heart!

A note from Pinkie’s Foster:

“What we love about Pinkie Pie:
Pinkie is so sweet and gentle with people. She loves meeting new people and is always up for an adventure-as long as it is with her person. We call her an all terrain dog because she is more than willing to explore in the sun, rain, rivers, mountains or snow! She really matches the energy of the people around her. She will easily become a Velcro dog to the people she loves.

She was absolutely amazing around a toddler who came over for about 6 hours. She played with him and was so gentle. The toddler’s chaotic energy and penchant for throwing things at everyone was eventually too much for everyone including Pinkie so we put her in a room to rest. I really believe she would be great around school aged kids.

She knows basic commands. She is very good at sit and we are working on perfecting leave it, stay, come, touch, etc. She is pretty good on a leash with occasional tugging if she smells something she wants to explore. Best of all, she is potty trained! We take her out every 3 hours or so but she has held it easily for 6-8 hours. She has never chewed or destroyed anything that wasn’t her toys.

We are continuing to work on her reactivity to loud cars, cats, and dogs. She has already shown improvements and with continued patience (and cheese) she will get there.“
