Pine (Male)'s Story

Currently being fostered in Southern California. Pine is one of 15 puppies from our Tree Litter! Mama is a gorgeous redtick coonhound, and these babies are exactly what you would expect- adorable, sweet, curious, and already very people focused. At 11 weeks old, Pine is a handsome, wrinkly little guy with a softer approach to the world. Pine is very sweet and a little sensitive- He shivers dramatically when he has to go outside, despite the fact that this is Oklahoma and the weather is not threatening him in any real way in the short time he needs to be out there. He is not majorly dramatic, just prefers to be comfortable and a little more thoughtful- slower to warm up both emotionally and physically. Once he does, Pine is playful and fun with his sister and does great with kids and other dogs. He loves playing and snuggling, just at his own pace. He seems happiest when he has a minute to watch before jumping in. We will be sharing more as their personalities start to come out, but for now, Pine is a very good puppy with excellent wrinkles, gentle energy, and a preference for taking things one comfortable step at a time. We are a RESCUE, which is different from a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks during the application approval process. We always try to select the right applicant for each dog, based on the dog’s needs and try to find the best match for both dog and human. We leave a dog’s profile online until either it has been adopted, or has received several applications. We are a non-profit organization that spends our adoption fees and donations on vaccinations, surgeries, various medical tests, medicines, food and supplies needed by our dogs. Our fees do not cover the overall expenses incurred by the care of our dogs, but they do help defray the costs involved. We thank you for your support.
