Piglet's Story

Piglet is a 3-month-old spayed female Beagle/Heeler mix with a beautiful brownish-red coat, adorable white "socks" on all four legs sprinkled with red speckling, and the sweetest floppy ears. She has the classic puppy charm that makes it impossible not to smile when you see her.

Piglet came from a situation with too many dogs and very little human interaction early on. Despite that start, she is wonderfully social with people and eager for attention. She is still very much a puppy, though, and needs help learning appropriate manners. She can be mouthy during play, so a patient family without young children is preferred while she continues to work on her impulse control.

She would thrive in a home with a confident, well-adjusted dog to help guide her and show her the ropes. Piglet is still getting used to walking on a leash and does not yet know basic commands, but she is extremely treat motivated and very smart. With positive reinforcement, consistency, and structure, she has all the potential to grow into a well-mannered and devoted companion.

Piglet is extremely playful and full of energy. She loves stuffed toys, enjoys a good game of tug or chase, and is always ready for treats and fun. A house with a secure yard would be ideal so she can safely burn off her puppy zoomies and continue building confidence as she grows.

With patience, training, and lots of love, Piglet will make a joyful and loyal addition to the right family.
