Piglet's Story
Meet Piglet! She is a 9-month-old, 12-pound mixed breed (her foster moms think Pit-Dachshund mix).

This beautiful small fry has the softest coat, the cutest speckles and the most adorable tongue that hangs out 75% of the time. She has all her teeth, it's just due to a bit of an overbite.

She is a silly lowrider with a heart of gold. Despite being surrendered to the shelter by her family, this little lady still loves to be with her people. Her favorite thing to do when she first wakes up, or when you come home, is to hop straight into your lap and shower you with love. She is quiet and easy going at home. The queen of snuggles, she's always game to Netflix and chill. She's recently discovered toys and belly rubs and LOVES both.

She's working hard at building up her confidence as fast movement and loud noises still scare her a bit, but she's making progress every day. She is crate trained and can be left alone without any issues. At night, she prefers to sleep with you rather than in her crate. She's a great sleeper and eater. She's currently pee pad trained and working on going outside. She's working on her leash skills and acclimating to city life as NYC is a noisy place, but she's making strides daily. She loves other dogs big and small and is playful with them.

Her ideal home would be patient, calm and loving so she can continue to gain confidence and blossom. Respectful calm children only, as she scares easily. She'd love another friendly dog in the house to romp with, but she's also happy to be the queen of her castle. Whoever adopts this pup will be the luckiest people as she will bring nothing but joy and laughter.
