Pickles's Story
Meet Pickles!

Pickles is a 2-year-old, 53 lb Terrier / Pit Bull mix who recently came into our care from animal control and the moment we met her, we just knew. This girl is something special.

Much like Ginger, Pickles found herself in a shelter/rescue environment through no fault of her own. While shelters do the best they can, they're loud, overstimulating, and stressful, especially for dogs who are naturally loving, sensitive, and eager to connect.

And Pickles? She's exactly that.
So far, she's shown us all green flags:
Friendly and affectionate
Gentle and people-oriented
Curious, sweet, and resilient
Ready to bond with her person

Dogs like Pickles shine brightest in homes, not kennels. Extended shelter stays can slowly chip away at confidence and alter behavior, not because the dog is "difficult," but because stress changes everything. We want to protect who Pickles is at her core before shelter life has a chance to dim her light.

Pickles deserves:
A calm place to decompress
Consistency and reassurance
A family who sees her potential and heart

We stepped in because we believe deeply that these dogs deserve better and we know their people are out there.

If you've been waiting for a sign to adopt, let this be it.
