Pickles's Story

Remember Pickles? She's looking for a new home!

Unfortunately, Pickles is no longer getting along with the other dogs in her home, so she is looking for a home where she can be the only dog and enjoy all the love and attention for herself as she ages.‍

From her owner:

Pickles is a 30lb, 7 year old mixed breed female, born in March 2019. She is fully house trained, spayed, up to date on all of her vaccinations, and receives monthly heartworm prevention. Her last annual veterinary checkup was in December 2025.

She is kennel trained and actually enjoys spending time in her kennel with the door open, it has always been her safe space.

Pickles is a naturally shy and reserved girl who takes a little time to warm up to new people and new situations. She may seem timid at first, but with patience and kindness, her sweet personality begins to shine. Once she trusts you, she is incredibly affectionate, loves to cuddle, and will happily soak up all the belly rubs you have to offer. She is a great listener and knows the commands come, sit, and down.

Because of her shy nature, she can be nervous around men, especially those with loud voices, and she is not a good fit for a home with children.

Pickles has shown aggression toward other dogs in the past, so she is looking for a home where she can be the only dog. She can tolerate cats but may chase them occasionally. She does well around outdoor chickens and ducks.

She enjoys going for walks, chewing on bones, and curling up on the couch with her favorite person. She's a lower-energy dog who is happiest just spending quiet time with her family.

Pickles is a special girl who simply needs someone willing to give her the time and understanding she deserves. Once she feels safe, she'll reward you with unwavering loyalty, gentle companionship, and so much love.
