Piccolo's Story

Meet Piccolo — the happy, goofy, wildly endearing brindle boy with the best head tilts in the Midwest. His expressive eyes, adorable ears, and soft, orange-striped coat make him completely unforgettable.

He’s a velcro sweetheart who adores people. Expect gentle nuzzles, lean-ins for pets, and full-body wiggles every time you walk into the room. He knows sit and down, seems potty trained, and transforms into a mellow, snuggly guy once he’s in a home.

When it comes to other dogs, Piccolo is a polite coexister at best. He’s slow-moving, a little tense, and not looking to make canine best friends — but he can share space calmly with the right dog. A dog meet & greet at the shelter is best to make sure the vibe is right.

Despite his age, Piccolo still brings "cold brew" energy. He’s athletic, curious, and loves exploring... yet equally loves settling in for cuddles. Funny, loyal, and sweet to his core, this boy has waited 200+ days to finally be someone’s somebody.

All adoptable pets are spayed/neutered (or scheduled), vaccinated, microchipped, and ready to go home today! No pre-application or appointment needed—just bring a valid ID and walk in. Our adoption fees are among the lowest in Cincinnati!

To meet our animals, visit our Northside shelters any day from 1–6pm. If listed as foster, email foster@cincycare.org to schedule a meet and greet. Adopting an adult dog with resident dogs or kids at home?
