Picasso's Story
🎨 Meet Picasso: A Masterpiece in the Making

Age: 1 Year | Breed: Border Collie | Vibe: Sweet, Sensitive, & Searching for a Shepherd

Picasso is a soulful young boy who finds the world a little bit loud right now. Unlike the typical high-octane Border Collie, Picasso is a gentle observer. He currently finds his "safe zones" in cozy, dark spots—like behind a favorite chair or tucked away in his kennel. He isn't being "antisocial"; he's just waiting for a human who speaks his language.

🌟 His Highlights

The "Walkies" Transformation: Interestingly, Picasso’s bravest self comes out on a leash! While the house can feel overwhelming, the Great Outdoors gives him a boost of confidence. He loves to explore the world one sniff at a time.

Social Butterfly (with boundaries): Picasso is a friend to all creatures! He gets along well with other dogs and is respectful of cats (provided the cat is chill and doesn't spark his "collie" instinct to chase).

Gentle Spirit: There isn't a mean bone in this boy's body. His affection is earned, which makes every tail wag and lean-in feel like a gold medal.

🛠️ Work in Progress

Picasso is looking for a human who is okay with a "fixer-upper" heart. He is currently working on:

Potty Training: He’s still learning the ropes, so a consistent routine is key.

Trust Building: He needs a patient BFF who understands that "slow and steady" wins the race.

The Great Escape: Picasso is a bit of an escape artist! He can jump fences if left to his own devices, so he’ll need supervised yard time or a very secure "studio" to play in.

🏡 The Ideal Home

Picasso’s perfect match is a quiet, low-traffic household where he won't be startled by loud noises or a revolving door of guests. He needs a human who is home often to help him navigate his fears and celebrate his small victories.

Picasso is currently being fostered in Heppner, Oregon. His adoption fee is $400.
