Phoenix 's Story
Phoenix is a sweet but shy 8-month-old black-coated German Shepherd who recently joined the Serendipity pack from one of our shelter partners. She’s a petite girl at around 61 pounds, with a little growing and filling out still ahead of her. With so many recent changes, Phoenix is understandably unsure about new people and her new surroundings, but we’re confident that once she has time to settle in and realizes everyone is a friend, her true personality will begin to shine.

Phoenix came to the shelter through no fault of her own when her previous owner was no longer able to care for her. They described her as a playful, affectionate girl once she feels comfortable, and she reportedly enjoys playing with other dogs. Phoenix has not yet been introduced to cats or children. While calm, dog-savvy older children may be a good fit, younger kids and toddlers may be a bit overwhelming for her right now.

Phoenix is reported to be crate-trained and was quiet and well-behaved during transport. We know this beautiful girl will thrive with a patient, understanding adopter who will give her time to decompress and adjust — and once she does, she’ll offer unwavering loyalty and a love that feels truly special because it’s earned.

-------------------
Our Adoption Fees:
-------------------

*Dogs and puppies 12 months old or younger: $450

* Adult dogs over 12 months of age: $400

* Senior dogs over 7 years of age qualify for our "Seniors FUREVER" program!
