Welcome, Phoenix! Poor little Phoenix was found as a stray & based on his matted coat, he might have been out on his own for some time. It breaks our hearts thinking about this little guy out there on his own. But Phoenix isn’t letting his past define him! We’ve gotten his dirty mats shaved off him, he’s been seen by our vet partners & given a clean bill of health! He’s a happy, spirited little buddy who enjoys hanging out with other dogs. Phoenix is around 17 lbs & we estimate about 1 1/2 years old. He walks well on a leash & is housetrained! Phoenix is deaf but he is learning hand signals and it does not seem to interfere with his daily activities. Furry Tales Animal Rescue's Adoption Policy

Adopters must be 21+ years old. ALL members of the household must agree on the adoption. We do NOT allow adoptions to be surprises for others. Out of state adoptions are ALLOWED. We currently adopt to homes located in PA, NJ, MD, DE, VA, WV, OH, CT, NH and NY. At this time we do not adopt out to homes who are over ~200-250 miles from Blue Bell, PA 19422, but may make exceptions on a case by case basis. Potential adopters must submit an initial application that will be followed up by a phone interview and home check. We call two personal non-family references that are to be listed on the application. If there are any current pets in the home we will call your veterinarian as well to ensure all pets are up to date on state required vaccines and are spayed/neutered (if applicable). If all goes well we have a detailed adoption contract that must be thoroughly read, completed, and signed by the adopter. Our process tends to move fairly QUICKLY and adoption can be as quick as just a few hours after submitting an application up to a week or more. We do NOT hold pets.
