Phoebe (URGENT)'s Story
Meet Phoebe!
Phoebe is a bright, lovable pup who’s been growing up in a shelter, but what she truly needs is a family to call her own. She’s estimated to be around 6.5-7 months old and weighs just under 45lbs. Once she’s full grown, we expect her to be medium-to-large in size, likely 50+ lbs. While her exact breed is unknown without a DNA test, her records list her as a German Shepherd x Husky mix.

Phoebe’s journey started in July 2025, when she was found as a stray in Texas. Since then, she’s been waiting patiently for someone to give her a chance. Despite her tough start, she hasn’t lost her playful spirit. She’s curious, affectionate, and eager to soak up all the love and training that a forever home can offer. With time, structure, and patience, Phoebe is sure to grow into a loyal and devoted companion.

Like many young pups, Phoebe is still learning her basics. She’ll need help mastering house training, leash walking, and building confidence in new situations. At first, she might feel a little unsure, but once she feels safe, her silly, loving personality comes shining through.

Phoebe has done well with other dogs and would enjoy a canine buddy to play with, though she doesn’t require one. She hasn’t been tested with cats, but given her age, she could adapt with slow introductions. Because she hasn’t had much experience with kids, we think older, dog-savvy children would be the best match for her.

Phoebe would thrive in a home with a secure, fenced yard where she can run and burn off her puppy energy. She isn’t a good fit for apartment or condo living, and while shepherd or working breed experience is a plus, it’s not essential. What matters most is that her adopter is committed to guiding her with patience and love.

Sadly, shelters in Texas are overcrowded, and puppies like Phoebe are at risk simply due to lack of space. She deserves so much more than kennel life—she deserves a lifetime filled with family, adventure, and affection.

Adoption Requirements:
-No apartments or condos
-Yard required
-Breed-savvy or experienced adopter strongly preferred

Health:
Phoebe is spayed, microchipped, fully up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and on monthly preventatives. She’s too young for heartworm testing but is otherwise healthy and ready to join her forever home.

Transport Information:
All of our dogs, including Phoebe, are located in Texas and will only travel once an adoption is finalized. Transport is included in the adoption fee. While breed guesses are based on appearance, we encourage adopters to focus on personality, needs, and lifestyle fit—not just breed labels.

MA License #479
