Phoebe's Story

Meet Phoebe! She is happy, loving little rollie-pollie that is now available for adoption! Phoebe is around 4 years of age and comes from a home that had 15 dogs. She was surrendered with 5 others into Blue Ridge Rescue and was placed in our Paws Behind Bars Prison Training Program! She knows her commands of sit, down, come and stay and is house and potty trained! Phoebe is super friendly and will make an amazing companion! She walks nicely on a leash and is good with other dogs and children. Her attributes include lap dog extraordinaire and will keep you warm while snuggling and watching TV on these cold winter evenings! Phoebe is fully vetted, spayed, up to date on all vaccines and preventatives, microchipped and ready to scamper into your hearts! She is small at under 20 pounds and is accepting applications by email to blueridgerescue@aol.com

Blue Ridge Animal Rescue & Sanctuary's Adoption Policy

All prospective animals ready for adoption begin with an application filled out by a prospective adopter. Taking into account the animal's specific needs, applications are taken in the order they are received to match appropriate families with the needs of that specific animal. Once an approval is made and the potential adopter contacted, a meet and greet with the entire family and, if possible, includes the adopters current animals as well. If the meet and greet goes well the animal may go home with that potential adopter.
