Phoebe's Story

Meet Miss Phoebe - Small, Spicy & Unstoppable!

When life tried to deal Phoebe a losing hand, she threw the whole deck on the floor and wagged her tail anyway.

This girl went from “wishlist, 24 hours left” to conquering parvo, kennel cough, a bum foot, and being underweight… and came out the other side grinning, snuggling, and ready to rule the world (or at least your couch).

Phoebe is ALL puppy! Equal parts snuggle bug, shadow, and zoomie queen. She’s smart as a whip (already learning “sit” and “down”), curious about everything, and still makes time to flop in your lap for love. Oh, and her ears? Pure perfection.

As a likely Cattle Dog/Heeler mix, Phoebe is not for the faint of heart. These dogs were bred to work, and that drive doesn’t just go away. She’ll need a forever family who understands herding breeds - one prepared to provide constant enrichment, engagement, and plenty of physical exercise to keep her happy and help her channel that energy in positive ways. Think puzzles, games, fetch, “find it” searches, tug with rules, and adventures where she gets to use both her brain and her body. Without that, this spicy girl will find her own entertainment… and let’s just say it might not be what you had in mind.

Phoebe’s Ideal Home:

•Puppy patience + a sense of humor.

•A family ready for training, adventures, and structured play.

•Someone who loves a little sass and appreciates a dog who thrives when she’s given a “job.”

Phoebe's foster mom is amazing and has continued to work with her and figured out everything there is to know about this girl! Phoebe will need patience and consistency to continue to help her blossom into something truly special. From a shelter deadline to living her best life, she’s proof that resilience can wag its tail and sass its way straight into your heart.

?
