Peyton's Story

"Peyton Manning" is a sweet, beautiful special needs puppy still waiting for his forever home! His birthday was 5/27/24 and he has been in foster care almost his entire life. He is potty trained, great with other dogs - he is what I would call a "dog-first dog" - he really likes to be with other dogs... so, he should not be the only dog. He would do well with a similar age dog to play with or older confident but chill dog(s). He is a dream in a crate! He is deaf and knows a handful of basic signs. And, won't bark reactively to sound, of course. He doesn't bark much at all. Also sleeps like a log! Zzzzzz.... No cats and no SMALL children please... Peyton can't hear the young little ones coming. Older kids respectful of his lack of heating are fine.

We have almost 300 pics of this beautiful sweet boy; so, let us know if you'd like to see more of Peyton! He's gone to K-9 Playtime doggy daycare and has often been pictured with several different pups in their daily pic download on Instagram and Facebook.

Peyton, his mom and his siblings were all dumped out in the country in SE Missouri in 5 different locations! They are all lucky to have been rescued. His mom is a blue Pittie named Olivia, and has been adopted, as well as his litter-mates, through Placing Paws. His dad is also a blue Pit named Archie, other than the color, Peyton looks just like his daddy. This family of dogs all have phenomenal temperaments. If you have a soft spot for a special needs pup, you NEED to meet Peyton!

If you are interested in our sweetheart Peyton, the first step is to go to our website and fill out an application... https://placingpawsrescue.org/applications/dog-application/

ADOPTION FEE: $400.00 The adoption fee includes all age appropriate vaccinations including rabies, HW test if age appropriate, de-worming, microchip, fecal, spay or neuter, Heartworm and flea and tick preventative.

ADOPTION PROCESS: PLEASE READ CAREFULLY
The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an application online at www.placingpawsrescue.org.
Once we review the applications, those applicants that are thought to be a good match will be contacted as quickly as possibly. We ask that you please be patient with us as we are all volunteers. Then a telephone interview will take place, references checked and a home visit will be conducted. We will then arrange for you to meet the dog. We require that all family members, including current dogs meet the dog prior to adoption. We put all of the known information in the animals description. If the animal is listed on the website, we are still accepting applications for that animal. We only remove the animal when the final adoption paperwork is signed. The best way to contact us is by email at placingpaws@yahoo.com. It is very difficult for the limited numbers of volunteers to return all calls. Thank you.
