Meet Petula! She's a big mixed breed girl with a nice brindle and white coat. Picked up as a stray, Petula appears to be a young adult. She's a teensy bit careful, at first, but easily won over with a couple of treats and she does love to play. Petula is a strong girl, with a robust nature. She gets very excited when it's her turn to come out to walk or play, and her leash skills need some work, but she seems to be intelligent and eager-to-please! Petula has not been friendly to our other dogs, so may do best as your one and only. She knows a couple of commands, and seems receptive to correction when she is away from all the distractions and noise of the other dogs. If you're looking for a big dog, of the playful variety, you might want to come out and meet Petula!

Born Again Pit Bull Rescue (BAPBR) regularly works with the wonderful volunteers at the Del Norte County Animal Control Shelter located out in rural Crescent City, CA (a small coastal town on the OR/CA border). They have a very small shelter with small indoor 3x6 kennel runs, low foot traffic, odd adoption viewing hours and it rains a lot which means the dogs can't always come outside to play--so we want YOU to see some of their really great dogs that they have up for adoption. It's only a short 5-hour drive from Portland to adopt your new family member!

Del Norte County Animal Control is located in Crescent City, CA. They are open Monday thru Friday from 8am to 5pm. They are closed Saturday and Sunday.
