Petrie

Petrie came to LCSPCA as a transfer from the county pound, on 12/20/24, weighing 40 lbs., estimated to be about 3 years. Petrie is friendly, curious, athletic, muscular, agile, enjoys toys and balls and is very trained and focused on people and their commands. He seems sensitive, attentive, smart and loyal. Petrie is great on a leash and enjoys walks, especially in beautiful weather. He is a bit sensitive to walking in overly hot or very windy weather though, which seem to stress him a bit. <br/><br/>He gets along with some dogs but not all and can act slightly aggressive toward stranger dogs in a shelter setting. Once out of the shelter environment, it is entirely possible he would be fine the right dog match friend though. When Petrie first arrived, his owner came looking for him saying that he had gotten lost. She said she'd be back for him, but sadly never returned. She told us Petrie lived in a home with several other dogs and they all got along. He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm negative and ready to be adopted. <br/><br/>To meet Petrie, stop in at LCSPCA when we are open for walk-in visitors and adopters Mon-Sat from 12-4pm at 11764 Hwy. 15, Clarksville, VA.
